2008 Race to Mackinac

On July 19th 2008, at 12:10 PM (central), Cyclone began its first run in the Chicago Yacht Club's Race to Mackinac, the world's longest annual freshwater sailing race. The crew includes Capt. John, Holly, Nora, Dan, Scott and Wally. Over 400 boats are competing in this year's event, which is the 100th running of the race. 

All of the boats in the race are equipped with global positioning system (GPS) transponders, which allow them to be tracked in real time from start to finish. Cyclone is in Section 7, with Sail Number 51804. The following links provide access to race tracking information:
