8/03/2009 -- Weere Baack...
I send out a plea for more crew, only two of you step up and look what happens, we win! Last Sunday we had a good start, saw that port tack was favored, took that to the layline rounded the windward mark in first, continued that lead to the second mark when a overly cautious spinnaker raise allowed Phantom to get by us. We hung on to his transom for the rest of the race finishing second but after the PHRF math we corrected to first by four seconds. Thanks to Scott and Marcin for great short handed crew work. Recent mods to the boat over the last few weeks have really helped with boat speed and I am looking forward to the rest of the seasons racing.
Next race is this Wednesday, we are good for crew. However Friday is the Moonlight regatta which we need crew and I am on the fence for the Saturday CCYC to JPYC race. For that one after finishing the boat will turn back around as I have a family thing on Sunday. Let me know your availability via crewsignup.com

7/29/2009 -- Cyclone Update
We got back from the Mac on Tuesday morning at 5:30 AM after riding through one hell of a blow, thanks to Wally and Danny for helping with the return delivery. As for the Mac race we took 8th of 16 boats in Section 7 and 63rd of 144 boats in the Mackinac Cup division. Thanks to Wally, Danny, Holly, Nancy and Brendon. Special thanks to John F and Jamie who were our shore crew as well as Deryck and Shelby who were our on shore intelligence gathering team as well as Marcin who provided lots of labor to get the boat ready. Of course we cant forget the Hamilton family for providing the cheering section at Navy Pier and at the Island. Full update coming soon. There are some pictures and videos on the Cyclonej92.com website and will be more in the coming days.
This weekend I have a family thing on Saturday so no racing but we will be back out there on Sunday. We could use some crew so check your schedule and use crew signup if you can make it.
